Banza Pasta is a low glycemic index food, with a score of 36 (GI study here). To be considered Low GI, a food must score less than 55. Chickpeas have been shown to maintain blood sugar control, and we've had many people with diabetes note that they feel comfortable eating Banza frequently, as our noodles have 1.5x more protein, 4x more fiber, and 30% fewer net carbs than traditional pasta. That said, we always recommend checking with your doctor or dietitian if you have any further questions.
